The plane displays normal wear scratches, wear marks etc.

We have given this jack plane a light clean and can't find anything untoward with it. There is a minor spot blemish to brass cap iron (please see photograph) otherwise the plane is in G++ condition.

A Lie-Nielsen No.5 1/2 Jack Plane is probably the most popular Lie-Nielsen bench plane we sell here at Classic Hand Tools and the one that many woodwork teachers recommend starting out with due to its versatility.

The equivalent of a later type Stanley Bedrock No.605½.

• 2-3/8" (60mm) wide blade. A2 steel.
• Iron body, 7lbs (3.15kg).
