Texturing Blade for Veritas Scrub Plane

When Veritas introduced their scrub plane, they were pleasantly surprised to discover that customers were using it for more than just rough stock removal. Many found that the aggressively cambered blade was perfect for creating a rustic, rough-hewn appearance on finished surfaces.

The original 3'' radius blade excels at larger projects like flooring and beams, but it can feel oversized for cabinetry and smaller furniture pieces. To meet that need, Veritas developed this specialised texturing blade. The wave-like flutes carve multiple small grooves with each pass, allowing you to achieve a beautifully textured surface without the repetitive, time-consuming effort of using a gouge.

The two-flute blade has 3/8'' radius edges. A2 tool steel, measuring 6'' long, 1 1/2'' wide, and 3/16'' thick.
