Product Description

Sheffield made hand forged adzes by Henry Taylor for single handed use.

There is a choice of 3 adzes; this one is a tight incannel gouge (sweep 9), and is offered with an incannel or outcannel grind.

The outcannel grind is favoured by those working concave surfaces as it allows the leading edge to enter the working area easier.

At the other end to the cutting edge is a square faced hammer poll.

All the adzes have an ash handle of 250mm (about 10") .

The overall head size (from the square face of the hammer poll to the cutting edge) is 175mm (about 7")

Weight is 0.91 kgs which is 2lbs in old money.
