Replacement blade for Lie-Nielsen No. 4-1/2, 5-1/2, 6 or 7 Bench Planes.
A2 Steel, Cryogenically treated, hardened to Rockwell 60-62 and double tempered. Lie-Nielsen heat treating technique ensures that the blade will take and hold a very fine edge for a long time. After heat treating, the blade is fully surface ground on the top, back, and cutting edge, giving a smooth, flat surface that will take a mirror finish very quickly. Lie-Nielsen blades are thick to provide solid, chatter-free cutting.

"This is my first Lie Nielsen plane blade that i bought for my Woodriver 5 1/2. I'm currently working on a project where i'm using a hard wood such as american cherry. The blade holds the edge much longer than the original Woodriver blade and leaves much smoother surfase. Resently i have bought Woodriver #6 and defenetly will buy Lie Nielsen blade for it."
