This plane is in its original box (dated 2019) and is supplied with a branded Lie-Nielsen plane sock. Our inspection shows cosmetic scratches, scuffs etc consistent with relatively light use over time. The brass will clean up beautifully with a light polish. So we are happy to describe this as in G++ condition with plenty of life left in the blade.

''Lie-Nielsen's smoothing planes are precision machined from a manganese bronze casting, or an iron casting. They all come with a beautifully formed handle and knob made from American cherry. They have the Stanley Bedrock style frog which gives a fully machined mating fit between the frog and body. You can move the frog backwards or forwards, allowing the opening or closing of the plane's mouth without having to remove the lever cap or blade. The blade is 1/8'' thick and requires light honing before use.

Comes with a 45° frog as standard. Other frogs are available separately.
