A commission sale. Pre-owned and used but well cared for,

We have given this plane a quick clean so it looks quite shiny and new. We cleaned it to rid it of some staining marks which have mostly disappeared.

Scratch marks on the sole, consistent with use remain.

This is what we say about the brand-new version on our main LN section.

“Lie-Nielsen's smoothing planes are precision machined from a manganese bronze casting, or an iron casting. They all come with a beautifully formed handle and knob made from American cherry. They have the Stanley Bedrock style frog which gives a fully machined mating fit between the frog and body. You can move the frog backwards or forwards, allowing the opening or closing of the plane's mouth without having to remove the lever cap or blade. The blades are a 1/8" thick and require light honing before use.

Comes with a 45° frog as standard. Other frogs are available separately.
