From the "Professional" range of Henry Taylor carving tools. These fishtail gouges have a 4¾" (120mm) blade with a ground inner surface and a charcoal black non-reflective finish on the outer surface. Fitted with an octagonal beech handle and brass ferrules.

"I am new to woodcarving and bought this on line. I was disappointed. It is well made but it is a very small tool and the fishtails are barely discernible. Had it not said it was a fishtail I would not have known! To more experienced carvers, this may sound stupid but I decided to visit the shop to see other tools I wanted in the flesh because I had screwed up with this purchase."
