Product Description
The splitting Hatchets blade starts off concave and fairly thin, allowing easy penetration into the wood, where upon the thickening axe head exerts enormous splitting pressure. The small splitting axe, with 2½ lb. head, 2½" face & 16" textured hickory handle, is ideal for splitting kindling & smallish stove wood. It is designed for one-handed use. Note this axe’s poll is not hardened for use as a sledge.
