A very nice example of the No.42 tongue & groove plane by UNION This dates from about the 1920's This Union No.42, which is similar to the Stanley plane, has a fence that you can swing through 180 degrees. One way for the tongue, then swing it around for the groove. In great order this plane is ready to tongue and to groove. This is a commission sale.

This is a lovely vintage Saddlers round knife from the USA manufacturer CS Osborne. It is difficult to date but from its form and simplistic beauty we hazard a guess that it is an early one dating as far back as the 19th Century.The blade has a lovely ring to it when flicked by a finger. It is marked C S Osborne & Co. Newark N.J Made in USA on the blade. It is also marked Made in USA on the handle....

This is a sweetie Stamped RL . iii .10-13 . N . With the government arrow underneath. Measuring 10" overall with a tapered square chuck and a thumb screw (which we do not think is original but it works perfectly well). The 2 1/4” diameter rotating head connects to the body of the brace and it all seems to be working jolly nicely.
