Claire Minihan - Walnut & Brass Travisher [Preowned]

Unusually for us we were unaware of Claire Minihan as a tool maker but we are glad to be offering one of her travishers for sale.

A bit of research informs us that her travishers are a favourite with the likes of Peter Galbert USA (“she makes the best travishers in the world”). In 2024 she was offering this travisher for about $500 but you would have to wait well over 12 months to receive the tool.

It is an elegant and well-made chairmakers shaping tool made with an attractive walnut body with a brass and steel curved sole.

This is her standard sweep version - 4 1/4" radius, which she describes as the more versatile of the two sweeps she offers and the one she recommends you should start out with.

This travisher is in G++ condition.
