This is a rare beast.

This example has been professionally re-nickel plated and 4 new blades have been made to complete the plane.

This plane was designed for the precision planing of dovetail joints.

The STANLEY 444 Dovetail plane was manufactured between 1912 and 1938 so it is very rare to find something so old in mint condition as the nickel plating always deteriorates over time if the plane is in use.

9 inches long with 4 cutters: 7/32", 3/8", 1/2" and 7/8"
